Pie Dough Ingredients:
For a double crust for an 8 to 9 inch pie plate you need:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup Crisco
  • 1/4 cup water
For a single crust for an 8 to 9 inch pie plate you need:
  • 1 + 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup Crisco
  • 3 TBS water
Buy the bars of Crisco. This recipe is also on the inside of the label of the bars of Crisco.
Pie Dough Steps:
  1. Combine all dough ingredients.
  2. If it's hard to handle, add a tiny bit of water.
  3. Roll dough into a ball. For a single crust, just roil it into a ball. For a double crust, divide into top and bottom crust sections (bottom section will be larger), then roll those into balls.

4 Macintosh apples, peeled
1/2 lemon
2/3 cups sugar
1/4 + 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
1 pinch ground nutmeg
Pie Filling Steps:
  1. Remove pie crust from refridgerator. Roll flat. Line pie plate with crust
  2. Add half the apples, then add most of the sugar
  3. Add the other half of the apples, then add the rest of the sugar
  4. Add the cinnamon and nutmeg
  5. Top pie with pie crust
  6. Bake at 425 F for 15 minutes
  7. Bake at 375 F for 50 to 55 minutes
